Barr. Ejiofor Warns of Alarming Disappearances and Massacres in Biafra Land, Demands Action.
Biafra Land, Eastern Nigeria.
With a heavy heart, Barrister Ifeanyi Ejiofor has raised alarm over the alarming rate of enforced disappearances and unrecorded massacres in Biafra Land. Ejiofor, in a recent statement posted on his verified Facebook page, highlighted the dire situation faced by innocent Biafrans who are being abducted daily by both local actors and state agents.
Ejiofor emphasized the systematic elimination of South Easterners, attributing this to misleading and violent declarations from a known enemy of Biafrans. He expressed concern over the lack of public discourse on the issue, suggesting that fear of the unknown might be preventing people from speaking out.
In his statement, Ejiofor detailed the challenges faced in seeking justice for the victims. He noted that security agents often deny arresting, detaining, or killing Biafrans, even when presented with evidence. This has resulted in over one hundred cases across the South East states where families are seeking the release of detained individuals, many of whom have no affiliations with dissident groups.
Ejiofor also mentioned the daily distress calls and complaints received from parents and relatives of the victims, who are often unaware of their loved ones' whereabouts. He called for critical introspection, urging the people of Biafra Land to ask pertinent questions and demand answers from those responsible for the ongoing violence and abductions.
"This is a time for profound introspection and maximum alertness. Our youths are disappearing daily, and it is time for positive action. Enough should be enough," Ejiofor stated emphatically.
This statement serves as a clarion call for action and awareness regarding the ongoing human rights violations in Biafra Land. The gravity of the situation demands immediate attention and intervention from both local and international communities to ensure the safety and rights of the people in the region.
