Eastern Security Network (ESN) Intensifies Efforts to Protect Biafra Farmers from Fulani Herders.
As the harvest season begins in Biafra, the Eastern Security Network (ESN) has ramped up its operations to safeguard the region's farmers and prevent clashes with Fulani herders. Mazi Chinasa Nworu, a key member of the IPOB Directorate of State (DOS), announced that ESN forces have been ordered to intensify their defensive actions.
This move is crucial as farmers work to gather their produce, often under threat from herders who camp in the region’s forests. ESN’s mission is to ensure the safety of both the land and the people, particularly in light of reports involving violence, such as assaults on women and attacks on local farmers. Nworu emphasized that the ESN will continue its operations despite any external criticism or efforts to misrepresent their activities.
While the operations in Biafra’s forests are ongoing, the group is mindful of restrictions on social media, choosing to limit the dissemination of graphic content to avoid platform bans. Nworu further expressed satisfaction with ESN’s successful efforts in confronting these threats.
IPOB maintains that Fulani herders have been prohibited from occupying the region’s forests, and any violations of this ban will result in serious consequences. The protection of Biafraland remains a priority as the harvest season continues.
