IPOB Warns Enugu State Government: Stop Linking Us to Autopilot Criminals

Abakaliki Province, Nigeria-BiafraLand.

The Indigenous People of Biafra (IPOB), under the leadership of Mazi Nnamdi Kanu, has issued a strong rebuttal against recent claims by the Enugu State Governor's media office, which linked the Eastern Security Network (ESN) to criminal activities in the state.

In a statement released by Comrade Emma Powerful, IPOB's Media and Publicity Secretary, the group debunked reports alleging that Nigerian Police neutralized 27 kidnapping gangs, purportedly consisting of ESN members loyal to a Finland-based individual. IPOB described these claims as "fabricated and fallacious," accusing the Enugu State Government of engaging in cheap propaganda.

According to the press release, IPOB reiterated that the so-called "Autopilot" faction has no ties to the Movement or ESN. IPOB emphasized that all ESN operatives are under the command of the Directorate of States (DOS) and are solely focused on protecting Biafraland from external threats.

The statement further urged the Enugu State Governor, Dr. Peter Mba, and the Nigerian Police to cease what IPOB termed as "malicious blackmail" against the organization, insisting that ESN operatives do not engage in criminal activities.

"IPOB has no faction nor any affiliates. If not IPOB, it's not IPOB," the statement read, warning the Enugu State Government to stop associating the group with the alleged criminal elements.

IPOB called on the Nigerian government and security forces to refrain from linking IPOB and ESN to the actions of criminals, stressing that ESN remains committed to its mandate of protecting the people of Biafra.
