Take It Back Movement Seeks Eagles Square for upcoming #EndBadGovernance Protest.

Abuja, Nigeria.

Take It Back (TIB) Movement has officially written a letter requesting their permission to use Eagles Square in Abuja for the #EndBadGovernance protest scheduled from August 1st to 10th, 2024.

In a letter written to Mr. Nyesom Wike the minister of federal capital, a copy of which was made available to News men, The Director, Mobilization for TIB, Damilare Adenola revealed his organisations plan to gather Nigerian citizens, young people in particular to demand for better leadership at the Eagles Square.

The protest, which is being called the “Days of Rage,” seeks to address and find solutions to the existing national challenges which are exclusively associated with the current ruling party. The letter highlighted the duration of the protest as another reason that the space needed to be available when it is day and also when it is night.

Moreover, the public address system, headquarters, water, toilets, adequate security, and power supply for twenty-fours hours were provided to enhance the comfort of participants who will be sleeping in tents at the venue. Adenola also asked that one wire mesh barrier that directly face the Aso Rock Villa be shut down to allow for possible protest to the Presidential Villa.

This request was made in the light of the Take It Back Movement requesting the government to grant them the request as early as possible to ensure we do as peaceful and orderly as we can in protesting.
