IPOB Denies Claims of Military Dislodgement of ESN Camps
Isiukwuato, Okigwe Province. Nigeria-BiafraLand
The Indigenous People of Biafra (IPOB), under the leadership of Mazi Nnamdi Kanu, has refuted recent statements by the Nigerian government and military claiming the dislodgement of IPOB's Eastern Security Network (ESN) camps in Isiukwuato of Okigwe Province in BiafraLand. In a press release, IPOB spokesperson Comrade Emma Powerful labeled these assertions as "fallacious and fabricated propaganda."
IPOB maintains that the camps in question have no affiliation with its movement or the ESN. Instead, they reclaim that these camps are operated by state-sponsored infiltrators under the guise of the "Biafra Liberation Army." The Biafra Movement said the Nigerian government and its security forces is using these infiltrators to malign IPOB and disrupt its self-determination efforts.
According to IPOB, these infiltrators have engaged in criminal activities, including kidnapping, extortion, and violence, with the intent to discredit the Biafran movement. IPOB maintain that the Nigerian military's recent actions against these camps are part of a broader strategy to besmirch IPOB's reputation by falsely associating it with criminality.
Despite these challenges, IPOB reaffirms its commitment to peaceful agitation for self-determination and a UN-supervised referendum. The organization urges the Nigerian government to cease its propaganda and allow Biafrans to exercise their constitutional rights peacefully.
The press release concludes with a call for the Nigerian authorities to distinguish between IPOB and the criminal elements they have sponsored, emphasizing that IPOB and ESN remain dedicated to maintaining peace in Biafra land.
